Harold Ramis Will Be Missed
By Darrin Jones / February 25

On February 24, 2014, American legend, Harold Ramis, passed away due to terminal illness. A comedic genius, Ramis had a hand in dozens of classic 80‘s comedies all the way to the early 2000’s.

For many that don’t recognize his name, you might recognize one of his most popular characters from two of his most popular films, Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II. Yep, he was Dr. Egon Spengler; the brilliant inventor with a penchant for dry-wit.

But not only had Ramis acted in classic comedies, he’d also directed them, including: Caddyshack, National Lampoon’s Vacation, and Groundhog Day. (All my personal favorites.) And that’s only the tip of his long list of writing credits. For many moviegoers, they never knew or understood how influential Harold Ramis was but for his friends, his family, and his fans -- myself included -- he will be sorely missed.
